Google Mobile App for iPhone with voice recognition search

Under: Apple iPhone, News
Date: November 15th, 2008

Google has released the Google Mobile Apple for iPhone, which is a free download for the Apple iPhone which includes voice recognition feature that allow the iPhoner to simply speak their search requests.

The Google Mobile App for iPhone utilises the iPhones motion detector to know when to begin recording and when to stop, for example: it will begin recording when the iPhoner places the iPhone to the ear, and stop when the iPhone is pulled away to review results.

Much like other voice recognition apps the Google Mobile App is location aware, so if say you are in London, and ask for “what’s on at the theatres?” a list of theatres in the London area would be shown.
