Social networking site Facebook is now available for the Google Android T-Mobile G1 via the Android market. It was only a matter of time before Facebook came to Android to compete with its social networking rival MySpace.
This new Facebook application for Android hasn’t been created by Facebook themselves though, it’s a 3rd party app created by Next Mobile Web, and is called fBook, and is actually a “wrapper” which optimises the Facebook iPhone web application.
Apparently its appearance is identical to going to m.facebook.com via your mobile browser and brings a few features such as photo uploading. As to when or if Android will actually see a real Facebook app, well that’s anyone’s guess.
