The big announcement came, Google was launching the second version of their mobile search app for the Apple iPhone and it was to include voice search, so the question now is…well where is it?
One would expect after making such a big announcement that the Google application would have hit the Apple App Store, but a search of the iTunes App Store only produces the old version of the Google Maps application.
The word was the app would be with the Apple Store as soon as Friday but we are still waiting. One reason for this could be the App Store approval process which can apparently take up to several months in some cases.
So maybe the answers to this problem is, don’t shout the announcement until it’s approved and ready for users, or maybe Apple’s iTunes App Store should just get their fingers out.
