RIM working on LTE (4G) BlackBerry Smartphone: Deploy Now

The latest news has it that RIM is working on a brand new LTE (Long Term Evolution) BlackBerry Smartphone which is great news, basically LTE is the new 4G technology that will take over the likes of EVDO and HSPA.

Now we know that the BlackBerry Storm has 3G but they left out Wi-Fi and we would like to see a new BlackBerry Storm like smartphone with LTE and of course Wi-Fi because many of us do get go Wi-Fi connections.

Did AT&T push Research in Motion to create an HSDPA-equipped BlackBerry? Of course they did or we would never have had the BlackBerry Bold, now Research In Motion is creating a brand new handset to take advantage of LTE technology. When you think about it companies like Telus are already on board with LTE technology and many more will follow suit and with LTE technology we will see data downlink speeds as high as 300 Mbps whereas at the moment it is pushing like 7.2Mbps maximum speed of HSDPA.

If BlackBerry does push for 4G we can see good things on the sales front, they did take their time getting in on the 3G wagon. Just so you know LTE networks will not be launching until around 2010 which means RIM will have plenty of time to develop the most awesome handset in the world.
