Google Sync for BlackBerry has now been updated to 0.5.9 and is probably the best way for BlackBerry smartphone owners to sync their contacts from Gmail to their BlackBerry handset.

The new Google Sync 0.5.9 for BlackBerry is so ease with a simple tick in the options menu to get the application to sync all the major contact fields such as Christian name, surname, phone number and email.

The user can now access the Google calendar via the BlackBerry’s native calendar even when there is no network coverage and still be alerted on upcoming events via vibration or sound as it auto-runs in the background.
