The Nokia XpressMusic 5800 shipping date is drawing ever near, and the mobile phone has been popping up on various websites for pre-order, and there seems to be rather a large outcry as prospective Nokia XpressMusic 5800 owners see the price. In Spain it was more than EUR 429 which is well beyond the officially promised EUR 279.
According to Nokia sources, the EUR 279 price is before taxes and subsidies, but each individual country is free to tag on whatever bundles they wish, which obviously raises the price.
So in the case of Spain, the Nokia XpressMusic 5800 is bundled with a 100 EUR voucher for music downloads; three months subscription to Nokia Maps Navigation service and several other goodies.
However if you want the Nokia XpressMusic 5800 at the promised price of EUR 279 before taxes and unbundled it starts shipping worldwide early next year.
