Apple iPhone vulnerability fix to be included in Firmware 2.2

Spiegel.de, a German publication has reported a newly announced Apple iPhone vulnerability which apparently can force a potentially expensive mobile phone call to be made when the Apple iPhone user simply visits a web page in Safari.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology has detailed the vulnerability and has also produced a video exploit of the problem, to view the video please go here.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology states that they notified Apple of this potential threat a month ago, and that Apple has said a fix for this vulnerability will come with the Apple iPhone Firmware 2.2 update release.
