There appears to be a shortage of stock with the Vodafone BlackBerry Storm as Vodafone rapidly ran out of stock last Friday, apparently a logistics problem has taken the blame for Vodafone failing to coordinate the Storm’s launch, and many Vodafone stores claimed to have virtually no stock or none at all by the weekend.

Over 70,000 pre-registered for the BlackBerry Storm, and at present it isn’t known if Vodafone has fulfilled these orders. Several well stocked Vodafone stores were said to have sold up to 15 handsets on Friday afternoon thus clearing stock.

Vodafone are claiming that stores will be replenished over the weekend. Vodafone retail staff have stated that most BlackBerry Storm buyers have opted for the 18 month contract with a price of £40.00 per month rather than the cheaper 2 year £35.00 per month deal.
