Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 gets reviewed

The much anticipated Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is just a short time away and will soon be in the hands of the public, that’s Sony Ericsson’s new inaugural flagship smartphone of the Xperia brand.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 brings the user the Sony Ericsson Panel UI whereby each panel is a customisable home-screen which can be configured for various personal data along with app shortcuts, and differing home-screens provide differing functions.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1offers more than just the Panel UI though such as a 3G data connection, WiFi, integrated GPS, slide out full QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth A2DP, microSD.

  1. I recently posted my thoughts on the X1 over on the My Telecoms board (http://www.mytelecoms.net/mobilephones/community/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2) after owning it for 12 months.

It’s not all that jazz and I really hope that the X2 is a lot better.

My biggest issues were the QWERTY keyboard which just isn’t up to the task, and the casing which cracks really easy on the plastic bits. Plus it’s slow launching applications, including the camera which means I always miss out on taking the perfect picture.

Can’t wait to see the X2 so I can compare it with the N97 and decide which phone I get next 🙂
