UK Android T-Mobile G1 has roaming disabled by default

Under: Google Android, News Date: December 7th, 2008

The other day I posted about the Google Android T-Mobile G1 having issues with internet connectivity being it couldn’t be turned off and was always on even when abroad, see (here)

Well apparently UK G1ers can breathe easily as all new T-Mobile G1s sold in the UK will now have roaming disabled by default, and if the G1er decides to enable roaming a message pops up with a warning that there may be an additional cost.

Which takes the worry that you will incur high unknown roaming charges when you take your G1 abroad, pity they didn’t do the same in the US though. For UK G1ers, remember with roaming turned off this will mean all roaming.
