Nokia may adopt DAB on handsets once it is safe?

Under: News, Nokia Date: December 8th, 2008

Nokia has stated that when DAB radio technology becomes universally available they will put DAB onto their mobile phones, but have declined to confirm a date as to when this may happen.

Sari Stahlberg, Nokia director of product and technology marketing has stated “When the technology reaches mass adoption we would consider putting DAB radios into our phones”

Stahlberg refused however to put a number in terms of when this technology will be adopted over most of the Nokia range of mobile phones, but said the more Europe and other territories adopt DAB the more chance of Nokia adopting the tech once it is safe to do so.
