Now with the aid of Truphone, owners of the Apple iPod Touch can join the ranks of the Apple iPhone and turn their music playing iPod Touch into an almost Apple iPhone with WiFi.
Truphone’s new application brings VoIP calls to the Apple iPod Touch so iPoders can be on the same level as iPhoners. Truphones app enables users to make and receive calls via VoIP with other iPoders, Google Talk users and Truphone Internet Telephone service customers.
The Apple iPod Touch enters the numbers to be dialled with the Truphone app, via a virtual keyboard, although the use of a compatible headset is required. The Truphone app for VoIP on iPod Touch is available from the App Store.
