Android now acceptable to Sprint

Under: Google Android, News Date: December 12th, 2008

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse has been constantly claiming Google Android is just simply not good enough to wear the Sprint brand, but it now seems Sprint has actually accepted Android and is ready to take on Android powered mobile phones sometime early next year.

Does this move mean Mr. Hesse now has his tail between his legs and eating a hearty meal of humble pie? I mean it is only 2 months since he stated Android is ”not good enough to put the Sprint brand on it.”

So Sprint customers you can now look forward to some Android goodness on your Sprint handset. Could this be because Sprint execs have been watching T-Mobile’s progress with the G1, and now feel the G1 is doing good sales?
