Apparently, Director of Technology Evangelism at Apple, John Geleynse, during an Apple iPhone event, has made a few comments about the Apple iPhone platform which should raise several eyebrows.

John Geleynse, at the San Jose, ADC “iPhone Tech Talk” made references to the Apple iPhone being a potential threat to the PSP and DS, stating the Apple iPhone is a “gaming console” and adding “it’s not a phone, it’s a console experience.”

This is nothing really new coming from the Apple stable as they constantly endeavour to push the Apple iPhone as a viable rival to the gaming consoles presently available, but could the iPhone become a favourable handheld for gaming? That remains to be seen.
