Wal-Mart announced on Friday they will begin selling the Apple iPhone 3G on Sunday, however against the rumours the popular Apple iPhone 3G will not be sold by Wal-Mart at the lower price expected.

Wal-Mart is to offer the Apple iPhone 3G 8G in black for a price of $197.00 along with the 16GB iPhone in black or white for $297.00, all Wal-Mart sold Apple iPhones will come with a new 2 year AT&T agreement or a qualified upgrade.

There have been numerous whispers about Wal-Mart offering the Apple iPhone for $99.00; however it is now known that Wal-Mart is to off a reduced price of only $2.00 from any iPhone sold elsewhere, which to be honest isn’t that much of an incentive to go with Wal-Mart is it.
