Motorola Tundra VA76r rugged clamshell at AT&T

Motorola and AT&T have unveiled the Motorola Tundra VA76r rugged clamshell mobile handset with 3G connectivity, with superb navigation capabilities and AT&T’s Push to Talk service.

The Motorola Tundra VA76r is GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA 850/900/1800/1900 MHz (GSM/GPRS/EDGE); 850/1900 MHz, meets US 810F Military Specifications for severe temperatures, rain, dust, humidity and dust.

The Motorola Tundra also incorporates Motorola’s CrystalTalk Plus dual microphone technology and AT&T Navigator which provides turn-by-turn directions and allows ease of add-ons such as TeleNav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management tools. Furthermore the Tundra features Bluetooth 2.0, a 2 megapixel camera microSD card slot, and be available for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year contract4 in AT&T stores and online as of the 13th of January.

    I bought a MOTOROLA TUNDRA & a SAMSUNG RUGBY today. Using and testing them now.

    One both of these phones (especially the Motorola) .. make sure that the back battery covers are “fully locked” into place by making sure that the “sides” of the phone-back battery covers are “clicked” into place.

    If not .. you can easily lose the back cover and dust will get in .. especially on the Motorola.

    A first feel and use … I think that I like the Motorola a little better in the first 7 hours of use.
