Well it seems Asus will be offering a smartphone to the world in the form of the Eee Phone as apparently Asus chairman Jonney Shih has confirmed this in a recent interview with the New York Times.

Jonney Shih thinks he can see into the future and knows what’s in store for everyone. Apparently he sees a time where families sit back and watch large wall mounted screens to view digital content.

Does this have anything to do with the Eee Phone; well apparently the Eee Phone will be the controller of these wall-mounted display screens. So maybe Jonney believes that every other smartphone manufacturer will just stop and let the Eee Phone have a clear run…Think again Mr. Shih.
