Since way back in the spring of 07 there was a rumour of the Helio Ocean 2 mobile phone and that is could well be released this quarter. Well as most are aware, Helio was acquired by Virgin Mobile and so will be coming out under the Virgin branding.

Like the original Helio Ocean, the Helio Ocean 2 will pack an alphanumeric keyboard and a QWERTY keyboard, QVGA display, full HTML browser, 3G connectivity and a memory slot.

The word is that a Virgin Mobile rep has spilled the beans that the Helio Ocean 2 could well be making an appearance as of February, but there is no word on what price it will command.
