The word doing the net rounds is the Palm Pre will hit as soon as the 15th of February, and this comes via a TreoCentral reader who says the leak comes from the same source who tipped off about the Palm Treo 800w launch date.

As we are hearing the Palm Pre sports a 3.1 inch capacitance touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera, WiFi, aGPS, and 8GB of storage, along with the new webOS an intuitive multitasking UI.

But can we rely on this rumour? So far there’s been no word from Palm on a Palm Pre spec sheet stating processor speed and the like, and furthermore the FCC still hasn’t signed off the Palm Pre for the US, and this is assuming the FCC give their approval for the Palm Pre soon enough for Palm to make that release date.
