Sony Ericsson has launched their PlayNow Kiosks in their retail stores in Asia. With more than 80 Sony Ericsson stores across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, customers will be able to use the PlayNow Kiosks to download free mobile phone content.
The PlayNow Kiosks offer free music, games, ringtone, and movie content which is downloadable to Sony Ericsson handsets, and this move should spread the name of Sony Ericsson throughout the 3 countries.
The idea is that the PlayNow Koisks will attract more customers to Sony Ericsson stores and thus potentially show an increase in the sales of Sony Ericsson mobile phones and accessories.
