Looks like that 12 megapixel cameraphone isn’t the only thing Samsung will be showcasing at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, as word has it Samsung will also be sporting an 8 megapixel mobile phone with 3x optical zoom as well.

Apparently this new Samsung 8 megapixel phone is the direct successor of the Samsung Innov8 and will more than likely be running Symbian S60 operating system.

The 12 megapixel Samsung though is expected to run Samsung’s own operating system, and there is also rumour that Samsung will be announcing their first Google Android based smartphone…roll on Mobile World Congress.
