The word is that during the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona Samsung along with their 12 megapixel camera phone and several other mobile handsets will launch their own applications store for Samsung mobiles.

Samsung have named this app store Samsung Mobile Applications and the store is to focus in the United Kingdom on initiation and will feature both commercial and freeware apps.

Samsung Mobile Applications apparently has 1100 apps already available for Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile and later on in the year Samsung will be adding apps for other platforms as well.
