Now that the Kogan Agora has been virtually shelved doesn’t mean the Australians are going to be missing out on all that Google Android goodness as today Optus and HTC is releasing the G1 in Australia.

Apparently support manuals slipped out in January so supports the claim but there was no timeframe allotted. Most await new Android software to show at the Mobile World Congress 2009 but there are many countries that still haven’t yet seen Android.

Still, if indeed Australia sees the Android G1 today it sure puts the Kogan Agora up against some stiff competition that’s when the Agora gets itself sorted out that is.
