Ok so the word is Asus and Garmin have now joined to form the Garmin-Asus strategic alliance and their aim is to design and produce a whole line of co-branded mobile phones.

And the first mobile handset to come from this new alliance will be the…yes you’ve guessed it…the ever elusive nubifone.

Apparently if we ever see the nuvifone it will now be branded the nuvifone G60, and apparently there are plans for several Garmin-Asus handsets expected in 2009, but when one thinks on how long it has taken for the nuvifone maybe we should be looking towards 2019?
