BlackBerry App Centre limited to Storm and Bold for now?

Under: BlackBerry, Phone Software Date: February 7th, 2009

Announced back at the Blackberry Developer Conference, the BlackBerry Applications Centre allows the BlackBerry user to brows, install and upgrade 3rs party apps which have been selected by their wireless provider.

The thing is that at the moment only the BlackBerry Bold and OS 4.7 is compatible with the environment, of course the BlackBerry Storm can use it as it runs OS 4.7.

But this leaves out the likes of the BlackBerry Curve and Pearl and even the BlackBerry 8800 series. Of course the Applications Centre is just the first step as the new BlackBerry Applications Storefront is due in March and will host 3rd party apps.
