Video: Apple told Google to leave out multitouch on Android G1?

Under: Google Android, Mobile Video Clips Date: February 11th, 2009

The Google Android T-Mobile G1 has been criticised for the lack of multi-touch as much as the Apple iPhone has been garnering criticism for the lack of a copy and paste feature. But just why does the G1 lack multi-touch?

Well apparently the word floating round is that Apple actually asked Google to omit any multi-touch technology!

Word via an Android team member has it that Google deliberately left out multi-touch from the Android OS on Apple request and without putting up any fight, which is probably due to the Apple and Google close relationship.
