The Palm Pre, we’ve all seen the images of this smartphone sporting a shiny glossy jacket and that is basically the correct visual; that is unless you opt for the Touchstone.

The Touchstone is an inductive charging accessory for the Palm Pre which would seem to be an automatic purchase for any Palm pre owner, but it needs magnets in the Palm Pre to latch on and remain attached, problem is the glossy Palm Pre doesn’t have magnets.

This means when purchasing the Touchstone for the Palm Pre away goes the glossy back casing and is replaced by a matte soft touch cover, which one could consider an upgrade I suppose, but others will probably be somewhat disappointed with the matte finish.
