Windows Mobile 6.5 was officially announced at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, but it isn’t released just yet, and the first mobile phone sporting Windows Mobile 6.5 is expected in Q4 of this year.

That doesn’t mean Windows Mobile 7 isn’t coming though as Microsoft Big wig, Steve Ballmer, during Microsoft’s Strategic Update Meeting confirmed that Windows Mobile 7 will be ready in 2010.

So far there is very little detail on Microsoft Windows Mobile 7 and what it will exactly offer the mobile arena but it has been stated that the new operating system will be Microsoft’s first truly groundbreaking mobile OS.
