RIM BlackBerry Bold pulled by NTT DoCoMo in Japan?

Under: BlackBerry, Mobile Phones Date: March 2nd, 2009

Well here’s a bit of a shock, not so long ago Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo launched the RIM BlackBerry Bold, and now they are dropping the handset like it was on fire.

NTT DoCoMo has already sold 4000 BlackBerry Bold smartphone since launch seven days ago, and apparently have already had 30 Bold handset returned due to the keyboard heating up.

So far there haven’t been any reports of anyone being burnt, and Research In Motion rule out any sort of battery problem, but they are continuing to investing the claims. Thus NTT DoCoMo has put a hold on further sales of the BlackBerry Bold.
