Maybe Garmin has made a mistake in taking so long to get the nuvifone out into the mobile arena because it looks like it’s about to get some stiff competition from the Mio Explora K70.

Taiwanese GPS Company Mio has now stepped into the mobile arena with their new Mio Explora K70 Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 mobile phone.

The Mio Explora K70 is quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA 850/1900/2100 MHz, 3.5 inch touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera with geo-tagging and auto-focus, accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi, USB 2.0, and microSD. No word on price or availability yet though.
