China Mobile negotiates with Taiwan companies on roaming services

The world’s largest mobile phone carrier, China Mobile is apparently in negotiations with Taiwan’s 3 major mobile phone network operators with a view to cooperating on roaming services.

Chine Mobile Chairman, Wang Jianshou, has stated that negotiations had taken place with Taiwan Mobile, Far Eastone Telecommunications and Chunghwa Telecom on potential cooperation, and that China Mobile also hopes to cooperate with Taiwan handset makers to develop mobile phones.

Deputy General Manager of China Mobile Group, Zhang Chunjiang has said they will work with foreign companies which include Nokia to produce 3G mobile handsets and plans to spend $8.6 billion this year on their 3G network.
