FremantleMedia is to launch a new mobile application for the Apple iPhone based on their hit TV program, American Idol. With the American Idol iPhone app iPhoners will be able to get videos of the current thirteen American Idol finalists.

These videos will be in confessional format and include such content as images, news, bois, and behind the scenes action from the hit TV reality contest.

The American Idol app for the Apple iPhone costs $1.99 and the app will be updated weekly with a total of 78 videos becoming available between now and the season finale. American Idol iPhone fans will also be able to predict and track which contestants will go or stay.
