Vodafone to now offer DRM free music

Vodafone has announced they have made deals with Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and EMI Music which will enable Vodafone to offer its users DRM free music tracks to their mobile phones.

Vodafone have stated their customers will have access to over a million songs to download from artists such as Coldplay, Lily Allen and Duffy, although prices will depend on each market.

Vodafone is also in talks with Warner Music Group with a view to bring them onboard for DRM free music as well. The music industry is turning to DRM free to drive digital sales.
