So the Palm Pre is soon to be with the public but just who is assembling the Palm pre smartphone? Well the word is that Taiwanese OEM Chi Mei Communication Systems will be assembling the Palm Pre smartphones.

Chi Mei Communication Systems, although not the largest company out there in mobile world, does manufacture mobile phone for Motorola, and they apparently say manufacture of the Palm Pre could begin this month.

Of course this info comes via DigiTimes, so who knows how reliable it is, but as we are still in March there is always a possibility they could be right, guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
