Another surprise hits Android today via the Cupcake Android update team, circular zooming comes to Android. Basically this enables the user to zoom when they don’t have more than one finger free.

The user double taps on the display and moves around a wheel, sort of like what Google Earth uses, and should allow easier zooming with a single digit.

We have a video demonstrating the circular zoom feature on the HTC Magic, and you get to see it in action at the 2.5 minute mark. The circular zooming software is provided by French SRF and should become available near the end of April.
