Apple iPhone 3.0 beta 2 released to developers, push notifications

Getting ready for CTIA 2009? Well take a peek at the latest news here; Developers will be in heaven right about now, yes we are talking about the Apple iPhone 3.0 beta 2 which has been released to developers, and of course they get the go ahead to start developing for push notifications.

The all new iPhone 3.0 beta 2 also features better stability and performance enhancements which we will tell you about in due course, the full name of this software is called “iPhone OS beta 2 build 7A259” Apple has said that they will open its live testing services that support these new services during the ongoing iPhone 3.0 beta test program, but this does not come without warning, this will be limited to a chosen number of developers at first, more and more devs will get it in the end.

What are the changes in beta 2?
– The build runs much faster than beta 1 and includes substantial stability improvements.
– There’s reportedly a new menu item in the system preferences labelled “Store” that contains no data.
