The word is US Cellular is offering the LG Banter, and while at CTIA 2009, cnet managed to get up close and personal with the LG Banter and this is what they found.
The LG Banter does look a great deal like the LG Rumor 2 but has a more rectangular design along with interchangeable face plates, which are fairly easy to put on and remove. However, the LG Banter keyboard is noticeable different from that of the LG Rumour 2 as the soft keys are now within the keyboard itself rather than on the right hand side and the emoticon key is that much shorter.
Spec wise the LG Banter offers a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, music player, microSD slot. US Cellular has the LG Banter on offer for $50.00 while Alltell is offering it for $20 on a 2 year service contract.
