Apple orders 100-million 8Gb NAND flash chips

Another sign that a new Apple iPhone is show as Apple places a large order for 8Gb NAND flash chips. The same sort of thing they did roughly about the same time last year in preparing for the Apple iPhone 3G.

According to a post on DigiTimes, the word is that Apple has placed orders for 100 million 8 gigabit NAND flash chips mostly of which are with Samsung.

100 million is about twice the order Apple reportedly placed last year, so it does look like a new iPhone or possibly 2 new iPhones could well be seen roundabout June, don’t you think?
