There has been murmurings of Samsung pushing out Android based handset, but up until now there’s been no confirmation. Well now according to an article on Forbes, the exec VP of global products strategy for Samsung, Dr. Won-Pyo Hong, has issued confirmation that there will be at least one Android based phone outside the United States which will launch sometime in June.

Apparently, Samsung’s commitment is more to the Android platform rather than the “Google experience device” stated Hong, which probably means Sammy is doing some serious customisation on top of Android.

Hong also said that there would be two more Android phones coming to the US from Samsung in the 2nd half of this year.
