We’ve known for some time that Cupcake for Android has been doing the rounds of the developer circles, but we haven’t yet been too sure just how the Open Handset Alliance is planning on incorporating Cupcake’s features in Android.

Well today it becomes clearer with the official unveiling of Android 1.5 which fully incorporates Cupcake along with a home screen framework for developing widgets and live folders along with whatever other content they have created according to android-developers.

We have no idea how they intend getting Android 1.5 to existing Android smartphones such as the T-Mobile G1, but according to the changelog there shouldn’t be anything stopping the present hardware
