Infineon Technologies AG has announced they are to provide their EDGE platform tech to the world’s leading mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, states an article on WSJ.
German seniconductor make, Infineon is to supply their XMM™2130 Edge platform to Nokia which should see a new class of internet capable mobile phones come onto the mobile market.
Infineon CEO, Peter Bauer has said that Infineon is grateful to expand their successful collaboration with Nokia, who currently use Infineon’s two ULC products, to their EDGE products. However no details of the transaction between Infineon and Nokia were divulged.
