What Global Recession: LG 2.8 billion USD, 22.6 percent up

LG has announced their Q1 report and have managed to gain $2.8 billion through mobile phone sales and are doing 22.6 percent better than in 2008 says a post on gsmarena.

Although mobile units shipped by LG has declined by 7 percent to 22.6 million mobile handsets with the strongest handsets being the mid-rage LG KS360 and the LG Cookie.

LG has plans to push high end mobile phones to attain a 10 percent growth next quarter and intend on leading that push forward with the new LG Viewty Smart, the LG Arena and the LG GD900 Crystal handsets and expand their market share in North America with the LG Neon and LG Xenon.
