The new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone now features WiFi, and Arik Hesseldahl of businessweek has been playing with the BlackBerry Curve 8900 also known as the BlackBerry Javelin.

Hesseldahl’s first impressions of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is that the smartphone is pretty impressive as it sports the same interface as the BlackBerry Bold and also incorporates many of the same features.

Of course the WiFi feature is an important added bonus which has taken a while to reach BlackBerry. This WiFi addition delivers better browsing on wireless networks and really shines on the SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry app and while watchinga 30 minute TV program via WiFi the screen was crisp and bright and the sound although not brilliant was fairly good.
