According to a report over at informationweek, social networking site Facebook has now updated their application for BlackBerry smartphones.

The Facebook 1.5 application delivers a host of new features to BlackBerry owners that allow the user to interact while on the move with the social networking website. Facebook 1.5 enables the BlackBerry user to send Facebook messages, poke users, make wall post and add frends direct from the BlackBerry handset.

This latest updated version of the Facebook app has a tighter integration between the user’s Facebook friends and the BlackBerry contacts list and when the user receives a call from someone who is saved as a Facebook friend that persons profile photo will pop up on the BlackBerry screen
