Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman 8.1 megapixel FCC approved

Thanks to the guys over at engadget mobile we are now made aware that the Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman mobile phone has now been approved by the FCC.

Although the particular Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman 8.1 megapixel camera toting handset isn’t the North American bound HSPA 850/1800/1900 version as this WXDNA wasn’t tested at the labs.

Rather this Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman handset is EDGE 850/1900, but there is reference that said handset is HSDPA/HSUPA capable, and therefore probably destined for European markets; still no doubt one day our American buddies will get their own version.

Personally I believe that this phone will be one of the most popular of 2009….when it eventually comes out.
