It looks like Verizon Wireless will indeed be gaining an Apple iPhone, well actually two Apple devices according to a report on businessweek.

Apparently they have found out that Verizon Wireless will be gaining a smaller “lite” version of the Apple iPhone which will be cheaper, which may launch sometime this summer.

Then the second device is to be an Apple Media Pad, which is larger than the Apple iPhone but smaller than a netbook with a touchscreen. Verizon and Apple are in talks over the devices but there are a couple of points that may hinder the deal.

First Verizon and Apple may not be able to agree on a financial deal and secondly Apple controls everything to do with App Store applications and as Verizon have their own app store they may want a piece of the app pie.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see what comes of this one, as soon as we know more we’ll pass it along.
