An interesting article over at businessweek informs us that Nokia has announced they are opening their tech to make it easier for developers to use Nokia handsets as a platform for mobile commerce, and will also link their service for easier customer use.

It looks like Nokia wants to attract more developers and create applications, and at a Nokia event in Monaco, Nokia released info for their N97 whereby developers can use the specifications to write apps which will eventually appear on the N97’s home screen.

Now Nokia is a big boy in the mobile arena, but then in the world of mobile applications Apple rule the roost, so the big question is this… Can Nokia take on Apple Apps Store?
