According to a report on Reuters, Apple looks to be plays off AT&T against Verizon Wireless in some Apple iPhone distribution war.
And according to analysts no matter if one or both carriers actually end up signing some kind of deal Apple wins. Research company iSuppli estimates Apple earns more than a 50 percent profit margin for the Apple iPhone.
But adding Verizon could well double Apple’s take which one would assume Apple would eagerly grab, but AT&T aren’t going to give up their exclusivity deal easily and no doubt will throw something into the mix to entice Apple to extend that deal.
