Apparently a Microsoft spokesperson has reiterated the stance Microsoft holds and that is there is no Zune phone and there will not be any Microsoft branded mobile phones according to an engadget mobile report.

The exact quote from the spokesperson was…”Microsoft is not going into the phone hardware business. Microsoft is not building a Zune-specific phone.”

However, engadget believes that Microsoft would want to build “Zune-esque” features into Windows Mobile and that there are “tiny slivers” of that in Windows Mobile 6.5 with its home screen design.

My thoughts…there has been so much speculation about a Microsoft Zune phone, going on for so long, does anyone really care now?
