Ah, the will they, won’t they constant speculation that is the Microsoft ZunePhone. Well according to informationweek, Microsoft will not be producing their own smartphone.
Microsoft isn’t like Apple or Research In Motion and the BlackBerry whereby they have complete control over their smartphones; Microsoft simply licenses their Windows Mobile OS to partners, and apparently say they have no interest in building a smartphone.
But there has been for a long time now rumblings of the Microsoft ZunePhone, but now Microsoft has again stated they are not in the smartphone making business and are focusing on updates to their existing mobile OS and Windows Mobile 6.5.
